Hamilton: “A difficult session”

This is only the third time this season in the space of 11 Grands Prix that Lewis Hamilton Missing the first line on the grid. The pilot Mercedes ranked 3rd, almost 2 tenths from the pole position signed by Max Verstappen (Red Bull), also finishing behind his teammate Valtteri Bottas.

“It was a tough qualifying session, recognized the championship leader. The tests were pretty good. We knew that the Red Bulls were fast, they still are here, but the car was no longer the same as in FP3. I struggled from the start of qualifying and was unable to improve the pace. »

However, Lewis Hamilton does not despair of competing for the first places in the race, he who won in Budapest last year after starting from pole.

“We're going to watch all that, but at least we're still in the fight. I just hope that we will have a better pace in the race than in qualifying”, he added.

If ever Lewis Hamilton won, he would still achieve his 7th success in F1 on the Hungaroring.
