The new company, which will be based in the United Kingdom as its name suggests, will serve as a new base for Honda engines in F1. This is how all engine preparation operations, as well as their maintenance between Grands Prix, will be carried out. Honda also announces that the British base will manage the logistics of Honda's operations in Formula 1.

The aim is to strengthen the efficiency of Honda's operations at the level of its power units, at the dawn of a new major partnership with the team Aston Martin. The Silverstone-based team will thus become the Honda factory team, from the 2026 season. This year will be marked by major changes to the technical regulations, on which Honda, like the other engine manufacturers involved, has already started. work.

The HRC also announces that the recruitment of new engineers, technicians and staff members will begin in the spring. Honda engines are currently used by the teams Red Bull and RB, under the name “Honda RBPT”, for Red Bull Power Trains. The Austrian team has in fact taken over the operation of the Japanese blocks (with assistance offered by Honda) following the planned withdrawal of the engine manufacturer at the end of the 2021 season. The latter had seen the first drivers' title of Max Verstappen, allowing Honda to triumph six years after its return to the premier category.
