Horner: Ferrari disrespectful to Liberty Media

Sergio Marchionne, the president of Ferrari, had harsh words against Liberty Media while the new owners of the F1 are working on the future regulations of the discipline planned for 2021. The Prancing Horse is engaged in a standoff with the new management to defend its situation and its advantages while the distribution of income between the stables could have to evolve and frequently reiterates his departure threats.

Christian Horner, Team Principal of Red Bull Racing, reacted to the Italian businessman's comments by defending Liberty Media.

“I think it’s disrespectful to Ross Brawn (Liberty Media Motor Sports Director), one of the most renowned engineers in F1 history, retorted the Briton in an interview with The Confidential. This will perhaps disadvantage Ferrari or Mercedes, but it's up to Liberty to decide what they want for F1. »

“It is clear that we will end up with two clans, continued Christian Horner. It's the FOM and the FIA who make the rules, and it's then up to the teams to decide whether they want to stay or not... Obviously, everyone wants to see Ferrari continue because it's fantastic to face a team so legendary. But it is a mistake to hold F1 hostage in this way. »
