Horner: “Gasly needs to do a reset”

The season continues its course and the poor performances follow one another for Pierre Gasly. The pilot Red Bull has been struggling with the RB15 since the start of the year while his teammate Max Verstappen became last weekend in Austria, on his team's home ground, the first to defeat the Mercedes this season.

Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner maintains his confidence in the Frenchman, even if he must find the solution to get back into the rhythm of his cumbersome teammate.

“Pierre is going through a complicated period at the moment, confirmed Christian Horner. We are doing everything we can to support him. He needs to do a reset. We know what he is capable of. We need to be able to clean up our heads to restart the machine and get off on the right foot. »

“Obviously it doesn't help when in the next car you have a Max Verstappen who doesn't give up and gets the most out of his machine every weekend. We still believe in him and do to allow him to express his talent. We have no intention of changing Pierre. He is our pilot, we will work with him to extract the best from him”, assured the Briton.
