Horner: “Max needs to think about what this weekend could have been”

The video posted on the Facebook account of the F1 is unequivocal. Two years apart, Max Verstappen made a mistake in the same place in Monaco at the end of the swimming pool sequence.

The mistake made in 2018 in FP3, at a time with no comparable stakes in qualifying and the race, ruined the Dutchman's weekend, and the possibility of seeing a double Red Bull Racing the next day, after the triumph of Daniel Ricciardo.

Enough to encourage Verstappen to think according to Christian Horner, Team Principal of the Milton Keynes team. " Obviously, he has to think about what this weekend could have been or should have been, admits Horner.

Max has enormous talent, but a different approach would benefit him. I don't think there's any point in having discussions with him anymore. The only person who can help him is himself.

It's frustrating for him, because he's never worked so hard, and he's in top form. I think he's just trying too hard right now »
