Horner: Red Bull will do anything to stay

Christian Horner's latest words maintain the future of Red Bull Racing in uncertainty. His upcoming divorce from Renault and the failure of discussions with Mercedes leaves the Red Bull only the option Ferrari to have a Power Unit in 2016. The brand's big boss, Dietrich Mateschitz, had raised the possibility of leaving F1.

“He seems a little disappointed by the F1. He remains very sure of himself about this...", confirmed Christian Horner, Team Principal of Red Bull Racing, at a press conference in the paddock of the Japanese GP at Suzuka. “I'm doing everything possible to find a good engine next year. There is a risk if this is not the case as Red Bull's position is different from teams like McLaren, Williams or Ferrari. F1 must deliver a return on investment and we must not be restricted in the tools available to achieve this. »

Christian Horner still seems to believe in a future for Red Bull in F1 even if he believes that a risk exists. “We want to find a solution, but there is still a lot of work behind the scenes. Some items are out of our hands, but we do our best to make sure Red Bull will be here until 2020 and if possible even longer », added the director of Red Bull Racing.
