HRT: Senna returns, Yamamoto stays

Bruno Senna, after the disciplinary measure he suffered at Silverstone, will be able to return to his seat. HRT in fact communicated this Friday its decision to reinstate the Brazilian driver at the wheel of his car. On the other hand, Sakon Yamamoto remains the holder and it is therefore Karun Chandhok who pays the price by remaining on the sidelines. The Spanish team only speaks of "another opportunity" offered to the Japanese, expanding neither on the real reasons which pushed Yamamoto into Senna's car, nor those which keep him alongside the Brazilian at Hockenheim.

Sakon Yamamoto, who will compete in his second consecutive Grand Prix, is happy to return to Hockenheim and to be offered this new opportunity. “ I have many good memories of this Hockenheim circuit. There is always a great atmosphere. Then, in relation to Silverstone, I think we will be more competitive. The last race weekend was exciting for me. The team is giving me another opportunity to race, I will do my best to prove to them that they were not wrong. »

For his part, Colin Kolles, team principal, does not discuss the situation of his drivers but only the expectations of HRT before this eleventh race of the season. “ After the good result that we could have obtained at Silverstone, we want to continue on this path and display a good level of performance again "He says.

Bruno Senna, after his dismissal at Silverstone, does not mention the conditions of this return as starter either. But he is happy to be able to ride on this circuit: “ I am very happy to race at Hockenheim because I got a GP2 podium there in 2008 », confides Ayrton Senna’s nephew. “ Hockenheim is a circuit where the aerodynamics are less important than at Silverstone or Barcelona, so I think we will be more competitive compared to the other new teams and I hope to be able to fight against them. »
