Hülkenberg out, Barrichello extended

Nico Hulkenberg and Rubens Barrichello, two drivers who seemed complementary, will no longer team up together. The younger of the two, after a season of F1, quits Williams and will try to find a seat. As for Rubens Barrichello, he will continue to break the longevity record in F1 next season, since Williams has just confirmed it for next season.

« I would like to thank Nico for his hard work this season, says Frank Williams, team principal, and for having prepared himself for his arrival in F1. We are very proud to have supported him to obtain the titles in Formula 3 (Euro Series) and GP2. At Williams, we have always tried to bring young talents to the highest level. We are convinced that Nico will do great things. We wish him good luck and hope that our paths will cross in the future. »

From then on, and before the name of the team?s second driver was made official, Rubens Barrichello was confirmed for the next season. “ We recruited Rubens to Williams knowing all the technical expertise he could bring to us, in addition to his experience and passion, continues the Briton. He has given us everything we expected from him this season and we are happy to confirm that he will drive for us in 2011. »
