If his contract does not end before December 2023, Lewis Hamilton and its future are much talked about. Hardly a Grand Prix (since the resumption of the season), or almost, goes by without him being asked a question about the rest of his career. For his part, the Englishman has never hidden his desire to continue the adventure with Mercedes beyond the next season.

« I think it will be a multi-year contract, had even confided the seven-time world champion when he was questioned about his future in Mexico. There's this whole retirement thing going around and honestly, I don't like the idea and I don't feel like I belong."

New partner of Lewis Hamilton this year, George Russell has never hidden his admiration for the Englishman whom he wants to see quickly sign a new contract. “ It's great news that there is a possibility that Lewis will stay for many years., he advanced. I think he's proven that he definitely hasn't taken his foot off the gas pedal, and he's definitely, in these last few races probably, better than ever. It's really great for me to have the opportunity to be his teammate, to be directly one-on-one with him and to progress alongside him."

Eager to continue working with Lewis Hamilton, George Russell above all hopes that the association with his compatriot will allow Mercedes to quickly return to the path to victory.
