Cross interview Cyril Abiteboul – Frédéric Vasseur – Eric Boullier

You are experiencing your first French Grand Prix as team bosses. Is there – as for a pilot – a particular pleasure or excitement in performing on home soil?

Eric Boullier: It's a little different. There is more attention, more requests. I think we all approached it like the other Grands Prix, except that the social networks are going crazy and the requests are pouring in. We all have our heads in the handlebars, we all have our hospitality like in Monaco, Spielberg or others, but there is a little something extra.

Frédéric Vasseur: It's certain that we don't score more points here than elsewhere, but in terms of requests, we are in the same boat as the national drivers. It's pretty busy.

Cyril Abiteboul : There is an awareness during the week, day after day, that we are experiencing something nice, a little outside of our daily lives. The great thing about national events is that they have the power to touch an entire country.

In France, it makes it possible to reach a population who are not used to expressing themselves and to whom we give the floor back. We need to talk again about F1 in this country, to rediscover it and make it a little more tricolor.
