After Yuki tsunoda, Isack Hadjar. While the Japanese received ten penalty places for overtaking Oscar piastri, the Frenchman will drop three places this Sunday for having obstructed Carlos Sainz in Q1.

Hadjar was doing a cool-down lap at the end of Q1 on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit when Sainz, on his final flying lap, approached the rookie in the first sector.

The Spaniard arrived in the slipstream of Hadjar's car under braking for the chicane at Turns 6 and 7, being eliminated in Q1 with a poor 17th position.

Sainz quickly expressed his frustration over the radio at the situation, while Hadjar managed to qualify for the second phase of qualifying.

After reviewing the footage and data and speaking to both drivers, the stewards decided to penalize the Racing Bulls driver, who was demoted on the starting grid for Sunday's race in Montreal.

Unfortunately what I feared happened... A penalty for Isack, but to be honest, it is justified... but the race is long.👍
