For the last round of the season Formula 1, which will be held in Abu Dhabi in just under two months (weekend of December 12), Williams announced on its Twitter account the presence of Jack Aitken, reserve driver of the British team, at the wheel of the FW43B for the first free practice session. It won't be the first time that the British-South Korean driver drives a car in Formula 1, since last season during the Sakhir Grand Prix (December 6, 2020), he replaced George Russell, transferred for a race to Mercedes to compensate for the lack of Lewis Hamilton, tested positive for Covid-19. This season in Formula 2, Jack Aitken has competed in nine races with HWA Racelab, having spent the last two seasons with Campos Racing.
