Between 2009 and 2011, the Spanish Jaime Alguersuari evolved within the training Toro Rosso. Moved from FR 3.5 to F1, the now pilot Virgin in Formula E, believes that the transition to the premier discipline is very different from what he has known.
“I remember training every day to hold my neck in Suzuka or Turkey and all the places where it's very specific to drive an F1 car, explains the 24-year-old pilot to Reuters. Today, Formula 1 has become a big GP2 or a big World Series. It is therefore much more accessible for young drivers. I think F1 should be difficult to drive, you should really struggle to drive. I'll be honest, I miss it but looking at the cars, I won't be sure I'll enjoy it as much. »
Alguersuari also indicated his admiration for the new Formula E. “It’s a sport, more sport than business. I am convinced that this series has a real long-term future. »
