James Key, from Force India to Sauber

We announced it to you this morning, James Key is leaving the Force India team, eager to take on new challenges. And this new challenge is called Sauber. The Swiss team has just announced the recruitment of the former technical director of Vijay Mallya?s team.

Key will take the place of Willy Rampf, who will leave Peter Sauber's team at the end of April, and seems delighted with this opportunity offered to him:

“There is definite potential at Sauber, and with all the changes affecting the world of F1 Currently I think the team is in a good position. I'm really grateful to my old team who I spent 12 years with, but now I can't wait to start my new job. I would like to thank Peter Sauber and everyone here for giving me this chance.”

The young Briton will meet his predecessor for two months so that the transition is smooth, as Peter Sauber explains:

“Willy and James will work together until April and the handover. I understand Willy's decision. He accomplished great things for the team?.

At 38, James Key takes a new step in his career by moving from Force India to Sauber, a recruit of choice for a team that was one of the pleasant surprises of winter testing.
