Jarno Trulli would just like to ride

Although Toyota was not part of the leading teams of the world championship of F1 Last year, we imagine that the Japanese giant's move to the Lotus Racing team must completely change Jarno Trulli's habits. Although undoubtedly the best of the new teams, Tony Fernandes' team is still far from the mark, both in qualifying and in races. A frustrating observation for the Italian driver.

“I knew it wouldn't be easy, that everything would be new and that we would need time, declares the Lotus driver to Autosprint. However I hoped to at least drive. Bad luck seems to be attacking my car. Everything happens on my car, and only on mine. For the moment the results do not live up to my expectations. It?s still too early to judge. I knew it would be complicated, but I have hardly driven yet. I will make a judgment at the end of the year.”

However, the former pilot Cheers GP admits that not everything has to be thrown away.

“Our team is clearly the best news, continues Trulli. We operate like a real team in a high-level series. But unfortunately we are only at 10% of our potential due to lack of time. There is no test. For us it is a year of learning: we will see our potential in 2011, when we will have solved certain structural problems and we can concentrate on the design of our car. I think the Cosworth engine and the X-Track gearbox are not the main causes of our lack of competitiveness. The problems are therefore elsewhere”

It now remains to find where, if the Lotus Racing team wants to get a little closer to its opponents.
