Jarno Trulli falls from the podium

Penalized after the finish of the Australian Grand Prix for overtaking Lewis Hamilton while the safety car was on the track, Jarno Trulli lost his third place. The Toyota driver officially finished twelfth.

Following an investigation by the Panel of Stewards and after the hearing of the two drivers, Jarno Trulli received a 25-second penalty at the end of the Australian Grand Prix.

Third under the checkered flag, the Italian is finally classified twelfth.

This decision allows Hamilton (3rd) to gain a place like Glock (4th), Alonso (5th), Rosberg (6th), Buemi (7th) and Sébastien Bourdais (8th) which thus scores a point.
