Jean-Eric Vergne has no worries for 2014

There was concern for Jean-Eric Vergne in Formula 1. On the one hand, its counterpart at Toro Rosso Daniel Ricciardo is currently preferred by his employers and seems to be the favorite to move to Red Bull, the big sister team, three reigning world champions, for 2014. On the other hand, it appears more and more likely that Antonio Félix da Costa, also a member of the Red Bull Junior Team and currently engaged in Formula Renault 3.5, faces his debut in F1 next year, at Toro Rosso. If, in the end, Ricciardo did not reach the milestone with the Austrian team, then the Frenchman's seat could not have been more threatened.

A threat that the Frenchman brushes aside. “I am absolutely not worried about my future, He explains. As a driver, I want to have a car that can win races, but I would be more than happy to stay at Toro Rosso. » A fact which does not seem to displease Franz Tost, his Team Principal. “It’s a good team, continues the French pilot. A team that is building and getting better and better. We have a new factory and a lot of good people coming in, so I will be more than happy to continue with them. »

That being said, JEV specifies that its concern is for the moment focused on the present moment. “I will focus 100% on my season and all the upcoming races for the rest of the year. I don?t want to think too much about next year?
