Jean Todt spoke to AUTOhebdo at a time when the current president of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) is aiming for a third consecutive mandate. The former director and administrator of Ferrari focuses on the development of motorsport, road safety and the environment.
The FIA President was invited to comment on the resumption of the F1 by Liberty Media. He seems calm about the Americans' abilities to find solutions to sustain the future of the discipline.
“Bernie (Ecclestone) has been a great leader, and the sale to Liberty Media is a good decision, commented Jean Todt. Chase Carey (president of the Formula One Group, editor's note) has put in place a solid and well-structured organization... F1 is in good hands, but there are still things to sort out..."
