Jean Todt: “No race for the economy”

The former director of the Team Ferrari explains on the Rai channels that it was listening to criticism, particularly concerning the noise of single-seaters equipped with turbo/hybrid V6s. “The noise is obviously different now, and if there is a problem with that and the teams agree, we can find a way to make the cars louder, declares the Frenchman. Personally, I find the intonations fascinating. »

Concerning consumption problems, Jean Todt appears clearly more offensive. “ I don't want Formula 1 which runs to the economy. » proclaims the former head of Peugeot Talbot Sport, while recalling that the authorized amount of fuel, 100 kg, “ was proposed by the teams. » Finally, Todt believes that overtaking will increase in the coming races, and does not want to judge before seeing the evidence.
