Jean Todt wants to renovate the FIA

Jean Todt, after the candidacy and the intentions, moved on to concrete things. The former director of the Team Ferrari, along with its team, wrote its project for the FIA. In the form of an electoral manifesto, the document must serve as a basis for Jean Todt and his team to give a new face to motorsport and the FIA.

The Frenchman, with regard to motorsport, wishes to reform certain modes of operation, focusing the effort in five areas: “strengthening our clubs and defining a precise path forward for motorsport; commissioners in charge of the world championships; resolution of disputes relating to FIA championships; regional centers of excellence; motorsport at a reasonable price.

Jean Todt particularly wishes to avoid the conflicts that the current management team may have had at the level of certain world championships, in particular the Formula 1. This is why the “ resolution of disputes relating to FIA championships » will be eagerly awaited by those involved in motorsport. The Frenchman thus wishes “ resolve disputes fairly and transparently ". To facilitate the work of the World Motor Sport Council, Jean Todt wants to create a Disciplinary Committee “ responsible for conducting investigations, holding hearings and recommending possible sanctions » at the CMSA.

In addition, the candidate team wishes to appoint Commissioners in charge of each of the FIA World Championships. Each Commissioner will have the role of representing the FIA for all regulatory and commercial matters relating to the championship. » Jean Todt hopes that the management team will be less directly involved in the decisions to be made at the level of one of the disciplines in question.
