Jenson Button optimistic about F1's future

While he looked set to retire, Jenson Button was confirmed for the 2016 season at McLaren. The 2009 world champion has been much more optimistic since the Woking team's announcement, particularly regarding the future of F1 and the measures that should come into force in the coming seasons. Enough to extend his contract for several more seasons?

“I think the year that will be exciting will be 2017”, confided the Briton on Auto Express. “There will be a lot more mechanical grip. From what I've seen, we can gain four to five seconds per lap with mechanical grip and aerodynamics. It takes me back ten years. I also learned that the single-seaters will be a little noisier next year. F1 is not in a bad situation for now and it's going to get even better. »
