Jenson Button delighted with the new Silverstone

Silverstone today inaugurated its new paddock in the presence of several World Champions, including Jenson Button, who won the World Championship in F1 in 2009 with Brawn GP. The Briton is delighted by the new version of the English circuit.

« I'm really happy with what I see », comments the teammate of Lewis Hamilton on Autosport. “ It takes about 15 minutes to cross the paddock. The most interesting new feature is turn 1. The race will be fantastic with the first two corners passed at full speed. »

The former World Champion dreams of finally winning on this circuit. “ If there is one thing that every driver dreams of writing on their CV, it is a home victory. This is something I have never managed to do. I won the Monaco GP and the World Championship but I'm still missing that. I will fight to reverse the trend this year. A podium would be a good start but the main objective remains the first step. »
