Jenson Button asks for time

Jenson Button, World Champion Formula 1 in 2009, began his 2010 season with a seventh place. But, more than his disappointment at finishing far from the podium, the Briton is disappointed with the show on the track. The pilot McLaren has his own idea on the subject.

« I think we put too much pressure on ourselves because everyone said it would be the best season ever seen in F1. We put too much pressure on ourselves by wanting to do too well. But it was not an exciting race. »

Despite everything, the reigning World Champion does not want to be alarmed, after only one Grand Prix contested. “ We have to wait and see what happens. There was only one race, it?s not the end of the world. There are still 18 races to go. There is still every chance of having a fantastic season. »

Jenson Button therefore requires patience but also attention. “ We have to see how the next races go. Some people will make the right decisions if we are not going in the right direction. »

Also, Button tempers the criticism, which has always existed in F1. “ Last year, people were already saying that the races were boring and that there wasn't enough overtaking. I think the balance was good. »
