Jenson Button regrets the absence of Peraltada

La Peraltada of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez will not be part of the show this weekend for the return of the F1 in Mexico. This slightly inclined parabolic was one of the bravery pieces of the route and notably remained famous for Nigel Mansell overtaking Gerhard Berger in the early 90s.

“The circuit looks really interesting. I remember watching amazing battles as a kid, the drivers holding their cars in the Peraltada, which looked amazing, but a little scary! It's a bit of a shame that this turn isn't included in the new design., but from what I've seen of the track, it looks like it's going to be a fun challenge. » comments Jenson Button.

The Briton specifies, however, that he expects a complicated test for McLaren-Honda, due to the specific parameters of the Mexican route. « The altitude is by far the highest we will have in 2015. This will be something new for all the teams. The fact that this circuit has the highest top speed after Monza will mean that it will not be easy for us. Having good balance and good downforce on the car will be crucial. »

The Briton, who did not have the latest evolution of the Honda Power Unit in Austin, rose to sixth place in the United States Grand Prix.
