Jolyon Palmer finishes first in Barcelona

For a long time this Wednesday, the German pascal wehrlein dominated the second day of Barcelona testing in Catalonia, driving his Mercedes W06 Hybrid. But that was without counting without a final relay from the Briton Jolyon Palmer (Lotus) in super-soft tires.

Nico Rosberg, aligned yesterday with the Mercedes, however retains the best cumulative time of the two days in 1'24″374. The top three is completed by French Pierre Gasly (Red Bull), who finished just over six tenths behind Palmer's benchmark.

Jenson Button (McLaren) takes fourth place ahead of fellow Briton Alex Lynn (Williams), last driver under the second.
