Kamui Kobayashi on the right track

Kamui Kobayashi was one of the good surprises of the 2010 season. At the wheel of the modest Sauber, the Japanese knew how to shine, particularly at the Japanese GP, where everyone remembers his spectacular overtaking. Kobayashi nevertheless had a difficult season, where he had to fight to achieve good results.

His first point of the season having been won at the Turkish GP (7th race on the calendar), the Japanese does not deny having had a difficult start to the season. ?We had our ups and downs, but the overall season was good. We struggled a lot at first. It was a pretty bad time. It was all the more difficult to climb back as we had no tests.

But by finishing in 12th place in the Championship with 32 points scored, the Sauber driver's season was nevertheless conclusive. “Despite that, we became stronger towards the end of the season. The team did a superb job to get back up to speed and I want to thank them for their efforts. »

Kamui Kobayashi is now focusing on the 2011 season, where he hopes to become more consistent. “My main goal is to not make any mistakes. I hope we will have a competitive car and that we can regularly challenge for points to improve our position in the Championship. »
