Karthikeyan, Vettel and Button's black cat

Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel both finished outside the points following a collision with Narain Karthikeyan's F112 during the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Briton could claim victory before damaging his front wing when entering the car of the Indian. The winner of the Australian Grand Prix had to return to the pits at the worst possible time and saw his race destroyed. “I tried as best I could to get my tires up to temperature”, explains the pilot McLaren. “This collision was entirely my fault, I stepped on the brakes and locked the rear. I couldn't do anything anymore and I hit him. It was a difficult afternoon that was beyond our control. »

On the other hand, Sebastian Vettel assures that his puncture following contact with the Indian is the responsibility of the HRT driver. The pilot Red Bull, who lost a fourth place which was reaching out to him a few laps from the finish even though he had suffered from radio problems since the start of the race, made harsh remarks against Narain Karthikeyan. “He was off the track. From my point of view, he wasn't even coming back.", he commented on RTL television. “As in real life, there are a few bumps in the road. It's extremely frustrating because a fourth place would have been satisfying at the end of such a chaotic event where I lost my radio at the start of the race. Fernando (Alonso) had a great race today, but the key to success was, as always, entering the pits at the right time. »
