Karun Chandhok: confirm after Monaco

He was fourteenth, and the first driver with a car entered by one of the three new teams. A flawless race, full of wisdom, certainly his best of the season. Unfortunately for Karun Chandhok, Trulli decided otherwise. While trying to go inside the HRT F110, the Italian erred on the side of overconfidence and climbed over the car of the unfortunate Indian driver. But the ex-GP2 driver is not the type to give up, and it is with high morale that he will approach the seventh round of the world championship this weekend in Turkey.

“I can't wait to ride in Istanbul after our impressive Monegasque demonstration, says the 26-year-old pilot. It?s a real shame that it ended this way, but the team can be proud of the work they accomplished there. Turkey will be a totally different challenge from Monaco. I have done well in Istanbul in recent years in GP2 and even led the race in 2007 before being forced to retire. There is a good mix of turns here, notably number 8, which is a real challenge, long, fast and in three parts. Taking care of the tires in fast corners will also be essential. The team is back on track after Monaco and we will continue to do our best to obtain the best possible result.
