Keke Rosberg: “Always difficult to see your son run”

Why this late arrival, after the end of the Grand Prix?

Because I had to distance myself. It was my choice not to come. If I had been here for three days doing nothing, I would not have had a single minute of peace. I told Nico that I couldn't come, that it couldn't work.

Where did you follow the Grand Prix?

In front of a television, with friends in Dubai. Nico was supposed to not know, but I think he figured out I was around.

What did you think of the way Lewis Hamilton slowed it down?

I almost spilled my beer several times... I told myself it was going to be hard. Generally speaking, it's always difficult for a father to see his son running.

The overrun on Verstappen was another pretty stressful moment...

Not too much. Max took care of himself at Turn 1. He's a talented kid, but he needs a little guidance. It too often throws great results out the window, and the F1 is a question of results.
