Kimi Räikkönen awaits Monza firmly

Fourth in the last Belgian Grand Prix, on his favorite track of Spa-Francorchamps, Kimi Räikkönen beat his teammate for the first time Fernando Alonso in the race in 2014. A return to the forefront for Iceman who does not intend to stop there and who estimates that the next round of the season in Italy in a little less than a fortnight at the Autodromo de Monza, in front of the fans of there Team, could give birth to a Ferrari surprise.

“That’s the goal for the next race, declares the 2007 World Champion. I hope we have a nice surprise with our speed there. As I said before, Spa and Monza seemed more difficult for us. But we weren't so bad in Belgium. Will it be the same for the next race? I hope so. We have to go out there, do our best and see where we are at the end. »

The Finn, however, does not hide the weaknesses of his F14 T compared to the Mercedes W05 Hybrid in particular which will be real favorites in Italy. “We don’t have the engine power that they have. But I think we're a lot better than we were at the start of the year. Little by little we are improving on all sides, it's not just the engine or the electronics. For example, we don't have the support that some of the other teams have. It is also a set. We are missing little things everywhere on the car: grip, power, aero? but we continue our work. »
