Kimi Räikkönen: “I’ll do it again tomorrow”

In the fight for the podium at the last Russian Grand Prix on the Sochi track, Kimi Räikkönen and Valtteri Bottas had collided in the last lap of the race. Made responsible for the accident, the Finn of the Team Ferrari had been penalized by thirty seconds, which had caused it to fall to eighth final position, thereby offering the Manufacturers' title to Mercedes.

Questioned yesterday during the drivers' press conference in Austin, Texas, the 2007 World Champion did not mention any regrets about his overtaking attempt. “Obviously there were discussions and a penalty was given to me, but I will do it again tomorrow, it doesn't change the story.

Unfortunately we crashed into each other at the end and we both lost something, but that's life, that's racing. I don't feel bad about it and if anyone does, it concerns them. It's good for me. Like I said, I'll do the same thing next time and maybe it will turn out better. »

Kimi Räikkönen, just like Sebastian Vettel, going to bail a penalty of ten places on the starting grid at the Circuit of the Americas, following a fifth engine change on his SF15-T.
