Kimi Räikkönen expects another difficult race.

With zero points on the clock, Ferrari, Felipe Massa and Kimi Räikkönen are not celebrating, that's a fact. The reds are still preparing to suffer in Bahrain while waiting for better days, with the arrival of new developments planned from Barcelona.

Kimi Räikkönen expects another difficult race.

Kimi Räikkönen, your best position is tenth place at the moment. How do you analyze this?
It is certain that this result after three races is not what we expected! Our car is unfortunately not fast enough at the moment. We will get new parts at the next race, in the meantime we are preparing for another difficult weekend.

Are you going to use the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KESR) this weekend?
In free practice tomorrow, no. On the other hand, we are going to test it on the team?s other car, then we will decide what will happen for the rest of the weekend. We will use it on both cars if we do not encounter any problems with the SREC in free. Before that we really want to compare the behavior of our cars with or without the SREC. This will be our main mission tomorrow.

When will you adopt the new diffusers?
We will get them for the next race, in Barcelona.

In Bahrain, you have already finished second and then third, you also tested here this winter, are you therefore a little more confident?
The tests here at the start of the season are undeniably a plus. It worked well for us. Of course we are currently not in the same situation as last year, but I think we have a better chance of doing well than in previous races.

Do you feel the pressure building? Do you have to score points at all costs?
I want to score points in every race, but I don't feel any particular pressure. We try to give the best of ourselves in each race and unfortunately it is not working for the moment. We are a close-knit team and we are obviously not happy when things don't work out the way we envision them, but that's how it is?

Can you imagine finding yourself today without a single point, when 18 months ago you were World Champion?
Things are changing quickly F1 ! There are new regulations… We had good winter tests. We saw during the last tests that we were not exactly where we thought we would be, but we had not envisaged such a start to the season. We must work even harder to change this situation in the right direction. We know we can do it, but it takes a little time. This is unfortunately the situation we are in.

Are you located far from Red Bull and Brawns GP?
We are about a second behind them. It depends a little on the circuits, but that?s roughly the gap that separates us from these cars. Our goal is therefore to catch up with them, which is never easy, because while we work to catch up, they continue to progress. It is therefore not an easy task, but I am certain, we will be closer to them from the next race.
