Kimi Räikkönen at ease on super-softs

Si Mercedes dominated the first driving session in China earlier this morning, the Team Ferrari showed its advantage during FP2 with the best time to the credit of Kimi Räikkönen. The Finn is the only driver to have gone below the 1'37" per lap mark, and admits however to having struggled a bit before switching to the super-soft tires.

“It was a tough day overall, I was struggling to get traction, probably due to the wind, Iceman comments. I was slipping a lot and the feeling was not very pleasant. When I put on the supersofts they seemed to work better, I had more grip and that helped put out a pretty good lap. We'll see what the weather conditions are like tomorrow, we'll try to have a good day and then get the most out of the race. »

The former Lotus driver took second place in Bahrain, after being forced to retire in Australia.
