Kobayashi expects a lot of supporters

Unfortunately, Toyota is withdrawing. But the talent of the Japanese driver did not escape Peter Sauber, who was quick to hire him.

This weekend in Suzuka, the former resident of the Dams team in GP2 will therefore take the start of his national Grand Prix for the first time in his young career.

“I'm Japanese, and therefore Suzuka is my home race, despite not having spent much time in Japan over the last seven years, He says. I was 17 the last time I ran there. Obviously I know the circuit quite well after driving for Toyota last year during free practice before the Grand Prix. I find the track very nice, and I enjoy every inch of it. It is a route that challenges you throughout the entire tour. I think our car will perform well there. It?s really exciting for me to go there, and I know there will be a lot of fans. There is a place reserved for my fans, and the 2000 tickets sold out very quickly. I went to Japan right after the Singapore race. »

Before going to his house, Kobayashi wanted to shine in Singapore, but contact with the rail will put a premature end to his race. Author of some brilliant strokes since the start of the season, the young 24-year-old Japanese could find in the encouragement of his fans additional motivation allowing him to finish in the Top 10 for the sixth time this season. A nice surprise cannot be ruled out in the land of the rising sun.
