Kobayashi calm despite his penalty

Kamui Kobaayashi had a disastrous weekend in Valencia. Involved in two collisions, including one with Felipe Massa which forced him to retire, the Japanese will be penalized by five places on the grid for the British Grand Prix. If the Sauber driver had not seen the finish of last year's race, he remains optimistic about his chances of a good result next Sunday, relying on the qualities of the C31 which should be at ease on the fast sections of the British circuit.

“I’m looking forward to this race and my expectations are high”, comments the Japanese pilot. “Silverstone is one of my favorite circuits. Our cars still perform well in the medium and fast corners, but the Sauber C31 has also been improved in the slow sections, meaning we shouldn't have any problems with the new section of the circuit which was introduced in 2010. Despite my penalty of five places on the grid, I remain optimistic for the race. I think we have the potential to do something special in England and I also hope to have a bit more luck this time around. »
