Kobayashi finishes first

Learning is difficult for Virgin Racing which, in two days of testing in Jerez, only completed 16 laps of the circuit. At the same time, Ferrari completed 217 laps. After only two hours of session, the British team saw the front wing of Timo Glock's car shattered. Having no spare parts, the team left the VR01 in its box while the other teams completed the laps.

This is how Fernando Alonso who appeared most often on the track. Fastest driver last week, the Spaniard was in racing configuration this Thursday. The Maranello team was thus able to analyze the behavior of the F10 on long runs, comparing different settings.

Toro Rosso was also able to stand out, Sébastien Buemi having remained in possession of the best time for a long time (1:20:026). However, it is Kamui Kobayashi (Sauber-Ferrari) which was the fastest at the end of the day, posting 1?19??950. These two drivers also allowed their teams to work on the long runs, since Buemi covered 121 laps, Kobayashi 103. Michael Schumacher (Mercedes) also lined up the laps, having accumulated 124 laps.

Although the rain caused trouble at the start of the day, the weather conditions were much better than the day before. The drivers and their teams were able to benefit from a dry track most of the day. After two days of testing, two days are still on the program, Friday and Saturday.
