Kubica: “Taking a car to the limit is not lost”

After a first test carried out in Valencia at the beginning of June, Robert Kubica got back behind the wheel of a F1 on the Castellet circuit at the beginning of July, still with Renault. Six years after his accident seriously injured his hand, Kubica is delighted to be back in the form of his F1 years.

« There are questions, he tells us after his tests, on the other hand I no longer wonder about my ability to pilot a car of F1.

“I wasn't too worried in terms of driving, more in terms of the feeling in the car. Taking a car to the limit is not lost."

While rumors of a return to Grand Prix hover over him, the Pole remains calm and serene regarding his future:

« Currently, I am at peace with myself. The relief of knowing that I can gives me a great feeling, but I want to keep my feet on the ground.

“Whatever happens from now on, in testing or in Grands Prix if I am lucky enough to be able to come back, in WEC or whatever, I want to feel like I'm giving the best of myself. It's my priority. Today we talk a lot about F1 because my return to Grands Prix would be a great story, but at the end of the day I'm the same guy I was two months ago when no one was talking about me."
