Williams didn't need that to prepare for the Brazilian GP. After a first session disrupted by rain, Robert Kubica was only able to complete 2 laps on a dry track on the Interlagos track after suddenly losing control of his FW42.

“It was my first lap and I lost the car in a very strange way. I didn't understand what happened, recognized the Pole. But after watching the videos, Haas who was ahead of me by a few seconds exceeded the limits of the track, she went over the curbs and put a lot of water on the track. »
“My front left tire was draining a lot of water when I got there. I had tough tires and it was difficult to prepare for this type of situation”, added the Pole.
Robert Kubica will only have the last practice session to prepare for the race which could well be his penultimate Grand Prix start. The Pole will be guaranteed to start from the back of the grid, the Grove team having made the decision to change its chassis.
“It's never a good thing to miss testing and crash the car, but I think we were unlucky. I would have realized the situation if I had been closer (to Haas). If I had gone further, my engineer would have warned me. »
Williams at least has the parts to repair Robert Kubica's FW42 before the final practice session at the Brazilian GP.
