Kubica will soon take the wheel again

« In October, we can consider that Robert will be able to put a helmet on his head to see what he is capable of, said Daniel Morelli in an interview with the press today in the Lotus motorhome Renault GP at Monza. We are obviously not talking about race Formula 1, but it's important for Robert to start driving again. A simulator or a road car, that's not the most important thing ».

Two weeks ago, during the Belgian Grand Prix, Kubica underwent his final operation. “ We still had a few questions, but fortunately the procedure went well and Robert was able to move his elbow normally the next day. It was a fundamental operation to regain all the functions of his right arm. Now he is recovering and day after day, he improves the movements of his arm, his wrist, his fingers and all the parts affected by the accident ».

His manager said he was confident for the future. “ We obviously don't know how his rehabilitation will end. Of course it is important to stay positive in these kinds of circumstances. Robert works very hard. You know him ! The doctors and physiotherapists even have to tell him to slow down because he is doing too much. Is it always better than the other way around? So I'm here to tell you the news is good " Before concluding : " He is an F1 driver. So if he manages to drive a Formula Renault, he will be able to drive a Formula 1. They are not as physical anymore and I think it?s probably more demanding behind the wheel of a GP2 ».
