As we announced to you in issue 2135 of AUTOhebdo, available in digital version on all platforms and on newsstands, Robert Kubica carried out a test session on behalf of Williams Racing on the Silverstone circuit (Great Britain) on Wednesday. “His test was passed”, simply explained the British team at the end of this run, without disclosing the times and conditions of the test. “We will not provide any further details at this time. » Robert Kubica has evolved on a version stripped of any sponsor of the Williams FW36 dated 2014, the first mount equipped with a V6 turbo hybrid engine in the history of the brand.

For several months, Robert Kubica began an operation to reconquer the Formula 1. After several sessions with Renault this summer, the Pole turned his attention to Sir Frank Williams' team, with the aim of participating in next season with the Canadian Lance stroll.

Four drivers are vying for the position of Lance Stroll's teammate for the 2018 season. With this in mind, Robert Kubica and reserve driver Paul di Resta will engage in a duel on October 17 and 18 on the Hungaroring track near Budapest (Hungary). However, there is more to Williams Racing than just these two men. Felipe Massa, despite his 36 years, wants to keep his seat. Finally, Pascal Wehrlein (Sauber) is also eyeing this steering wheel; the German pilot has the support of the industry Mercedes.
