Kvyat owns his mistake with Vettel

Relations between Daniil Kvyat and Sebastian Vettel are not going to improve after the Russian Grand Prix. While the pilot Ferrari had already caught his teammate Kimi Räikkönen in Shanghai (China) following a daring maneuver by the Russian, the latter caused the quadruple world champion to retire in Sochi by hitting him twice during the first lap.

“All the incidents were caused by my fault. I do not feel very good. I apologize to everyone involved.", declared the national pilot of the event.

Christian Horner, Team Principal of Red Bull, made Daniil Kvyat face his responsibilities. “Emotions were high for Daniil Kvyat for his national event. He went too soon and too hard”, explained the Briton.

As for Sebastian Vettel, the German contained himself in the paddock even if his irritation was perceptible.

“It’s pretty clear what happened. I was hit in turn 3 and I couldn't avoid the barriers. These things happen but it’s hard to take. It wasn’t my fault and there’s nothing I could have done to avoid it.”, commented Sebastian Vettel. “I don’t hate him (Daniil Kvyat). He made a mistake two weeks ago and he made another mistake today and it didn't help me. »
