Kvyat highlights the dangerousness of vibrators

Present in order to limit excursions off the trajectory of drivers on asphalt run-offs around the route of the Red Bull Rings, Austrian vibrators have been generating a lot of ink since the start of the weekend.

In question, the different suspension breaks observed on the cars of several competitors since free practice, notably those of Nico Rosberg in EL3 and the even more impressive one of Daniil Kvyat in the first part of qualifying. The Russian of Toro Rosso emerged unscathed from his crash, but railed against the dangerousness of these vibrators.

“The track limits are a problem and these curbs are not good. They are very dangerous in fact, comments Kvyat on Sky Sports. Once you're on these edges, you don't have control in the event of a suspension failure. At least on the astroturf you had that control. At the last turn, everyone goes out with all four wheels off course, they wanted to do better, but in fact they did worse. »

The driver of the Faenza team specifies that the problem remains under study by the Toro Rosso engineers. “It was the suspension that was outside the vibrator that broke. » specifies the Russian who added that he encountered a puncture during his first run in Q1, and that the possible link with this mishap had to be studied.
