Open discreetly on Tuesday September 27, the Belgian Grand Prix ticket office (www.spagrandprix.com) experienced a real assault. This Monday, October 3, more than 48 tickets had already been sold according to the latest figures recorded by the organizers of the event.

« These are tickets for the weekend, specifies Vanessa Maes, organizer of the event. So you need to multiply this number by three. I suppose this movement will calm down a bit, but it would not be surprising if the Belgian Grand Prix (30 July 2023) will be sold out in a very short time ».

However, the price of the Bronze ticket, for the general enclosure, has increased from €155 to €185. “ Like everyone else, we must distribute the inflation and indexation on which our suppliers are dependent. », specifies the boss of Spa Grand Prix.
In recent years, the capacity of the circuit for the race F1 was set at 100 spectators. “ We will submit a file to the Governor of the Province of Liège so that this capacity increases to 110, or even 115 spectators. », concludes Vanessa Maes.

Belgian Grand Prix, a future still uncertain

As it reached the end of its contract at the end of this edition, the Belgian Grand Prix finally won its case with Liberty Media and F1, but not completely. The lease for the event in the Ardennes has in fact been extended for a single year which calls into question its future more than ever. Indeed, while multi-year extensions are piling up, Spa-Francorchamps has only won its case for one additional campaign. In addition, the Belgian meeting had to comply with the demands of the Formula 1 governing bodies and thus saw its date brought forward by one month from the end of August to the end of July. What to worry about for the next few years...
