Max Verstappen's run to Canada

It is not the most spectacular of his victories, but one of the most controlled. Facing a boss-sized Carlos Sainz, Max Verstappen made himself as wide as the Saint-Laurent to win for the first time in Montreal and increase his lead in the championship.

On Sunday, it was the Sainz surge that had to be contained in the race. He fought against the DRS of Carlos Sainz with his only weapon: his piloting consisting of a subtle blend of aggressiveness and precision.

For him, the hardest part was done. After a second stop on the 43rd lap to use a new set of hard tires, he was now ten seconds behind Sainz, the new leader, but came back strongly on the Spaniard who let himself slide to the finish. Only a third neutralization could still redistribute the cards. As all eyes turned to Nicholas latifi, a major supplier of Safety Cars, is tsunoda that the danger was coming for the World Champion.
