Confirmation in qualifications?

The new technical regulations seem to have achieved their objective. The F1 hierarchy is completely shaken up after free practice for the Australian Grand Prix. So much so that Williams, Toyota and Brawn will be the favorites for qualifying.

Confirmation in qualifications?

Nico Rosberg is the fastest driver on the Albert Park circuit since yesterday. And even if free practice is neither qualifying nor the race, the mastery demonstrated by the driver Williams gives him the role of favorite for the rest of the weekend.

Among the top teams in 2008, Ferrari seems best prepared with Massa. Slowed by a hydraulic problem, Kimi Raïkkonen lost precious time during the third free practice session. But his Brazilian teammate managed to place his car to an encouraging fourth place less than three hours before qualifying.

Reigning World Champion, Lewis Hamilton finished his sessions in 16th, 18th and 12th places. The pilot McLaren could even experience some difficulty entering Q3 in these conditions! Same consideration for Renault.

Green flag at 17:00 p.m. for qualifying, 7:00 a.m. in France.
