F1 lays foundation stone for Vietnam Grand Prix

The Hanoi circuit (Vietnam) is back on track. On Wednesday March 20, the organizers of the future Grand Prix, accompanied by the President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) Jean Todt and the city municipality, met to launch the first stage of the work.

The route will have 22 turns and will be classified in the city circuit category. However, the single-seaters will reach extremely high speeds, with several straight lines, the longest reaching a kilometer and a half. The circuit will be 5,565 km long.

Formula 1 plans to set up shop in Vietnam in 2020. The track area will reach 88 hectares, in the heart of the My Dinh Sports complex.
