Jules Bianchi's family wants to take legal action

Ten months after the death of Jules Bianchi, from his injuries following his tragic Suzuka accident in Japan on October 5, 2014, the family of the Nice pilot announced his intention to go to court. Comme l'a I indicated Stewarts Law, mandated for this matter, a letter was sent to the FIA, the FOM and the Marussia team, to signify this intention.

“The death of Jules Bianchi was avoidable, explains Julian Chamberlayne, Bianchi family representative at Stewarts Law. The FIA panel's investigation report into the accident made numerous recommendations to improve safety in Formula One, but failed to identify where mistakes were made that led to Jules' death. It is surprising and painful for the Bianchi family that the FIA panel in its findings, while noting a number of other factors, placed blame on Jules.

The Bianchi family wants this legal process to require those involved to provide answers and take responsibility for any failures. If this had been the case at Suzuka, Jules Bianchi would most likely still be alive and competing in the sport he loved today. »

“We seek justice for Jules, and we want to establish the truth about the decisions that led to our son's accident at the Japanese Grand Prix in 2014, specifies Philippe Bianchi, the Frenchman’s father. We have so many unanswered questions and the feeling that the accident and Jules' death could have been avoided if a series of mistakes had not been made. »

Stewarts Law expects a response soon from the three parties involved. The Bianchi family also confirmed yesterday the launch of the Jules Bianchi Society, an association which wishes to help young pilots in karting to access the world of F1.
