The Ferrari SF90 will receive updates at Paul Ricard

“What we bring will not be the solution to our problems, but the technical feedback we receive from these developments will be important for the next steps. » Mattia Binotto, head of Sports Management Ferrari do not hesitate to play the honesty card before the Paul Ricard weekend.

With a view to finding a level of performance closer to that of Mercedes, the Italian team will gently evolve its SF90 for the French Grand Prix, contested this Sunday in the Var.

As the boss of the Scuderia explains, these updates are part of a first step in the plan following the in-depth analysis of the deficiencies of its car 2019, even if it means potentially redefining certain concepts.

“In France, we will have some small developments, elements which represent for us a useful step in defining the direction we are going to take to develop the car, says Binotto.

Paul Ricard was a difficult circuit for us last year and we know that this type of track is not particularly advantageous for our package, but nothing is impossible, so we will be ready to give our best. »

Ferrari had already brought an engine evolution in Barcelona, anticipated compared to the initial schedule. HAS Sebastian Vettel et Charles Leclerc to offer the first feedback to Ferrari on the new features of the SF90 from Friday with the first free tests.
