The FFSA mourns the disappearance of Jules Bianchi

The disappearance of Jules Bianchi, who died on the night of Friday July 17 to Saturday July 18, has left the world of motorsport in mourning, with many testimonies to his name. The FFSA regrets one of its greatest hopes, the Frenchman having notably been part of the French FFSA Team.

“President Nicolas Deschaux, the elected officials and leaders around him at the French Motor Sports Federation, unanimously express their deep distress and offer their sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Jules Bianchi. The FFSA began to carefully monitor Jules' performances in 2005, first starting him in the French team. Karting then in the French Circuit Team, before seeing him integrate the very closed environment of Formula 1. The Varois celebrated his 25th birthday last August and was promised a bright sporting future? ", the Federation said in its press release.

“First of all, my thoughts go to Christine and Philippe, Jules’ parents, to Mélanie and Tom, his sister and brother. I am immensely sad because Jules was a simply adorable boy, very endearing and appreciated by everyone in the paddock,” declares Nicolas Deschaux, President of the FFSA.

“The FFSA maintained a very close relationship with Jules and my contacts with him were always very warm. Jules, whom the FFSA had placed under its wing when he was only 15 years old, never failed to respond to our requests?, adds Nicolas Deschaux. “On a daily basis, he embodied the joy of living, simplicity and even kindness. But from the moment he set foot on a circuit, he transformed into a formidable fighter, relentless and capable of unimaginable surpassing himself. In this he embodied the values that the FFSA taught him during the numerous training courses and operations in which he had taken part alongside us. Jules came from an extraordinary family of competitors thanks to Lucien, his uncle, and Mauro, his grandfather. »

The FFSA is sad to see one of its most brilliant pilots leave. " Next to Romain Grosjean, Jean-Eric Vergne and Charles Pic, it also allowed France to regain its position in F1. The Special Prize that we awarded him at the end of 2013, following his remarkable first season in Formula 1, was much more than a symbol. Jules was a raw talent and was on his way to the most exclusive Formula 1 teams. Jules leaves a huge void behind him? », concluded the President of the FFSA.
