Korean Grand Prix will not take place in 2015. The FIA presented a new version of the F1 calendar on its official website, where the Asian event no longer appears after having been scheduled for May 3. The teams will only have to carry out “only” 20 races this year. The strange return of Korea caused controversy since the calendar reached 21 meetings.
But this announcement was quickly seen as a poker move by Bernie Ecclestone who tried to take advantage of a loophole in the regulations to allow the teams to still have five Power Units for the entire season. As for the organizers of the Korean GP, they seemed just as surprised and did not seem ready to welcome the discipline again.
